I waddled the miles, to raise the smiles.. funds and awareness.

Each of these charities are important in so many ways.

I had chosen these charities as each are about improving the lives of others, improving their quality of life.

These are causes that I am very passionate about.

Every day I come into to contact with some one who's life can be improved by one or more of these charities.

A lot of these charities overlap in how they all help each other and others. My work and life overlap with the ideals and teachings of these charities too. We can all help each other, help others. Learn something new and take it to enhance some one else's life.

I have helped raise £10,000 for these charities.

I ran the miles, to raise the smiles.. funds and awareness.

I also found the time to learn, to understand, to make a difference, and to give my time.

From July 2012 I shall be reducing my charity involvement due to a variety of reasons. I shall continue working with, and fundraising for, The Veterans Charity in many capacities. I have entered Team Pegasus for the Forces March 2013 - The Duck and Her Chosen Men! Team training will continue over the year. I will take on a few walking challenges with friends and in memory of loved ones. But I shall only be purseuing things I truly love and recapture lost time for my hobbies and family. I have spent two years training and participating in many challenges. The training, self funding and being away from my family has taken it's toll. I also have a new focus and challenge to stretch the brain and tickle the grey matter with my work. I have juggled career, being a Mother and Wife, fundraiser and learning to run for two years, I now need to relax and concerntrate on the finer and/or fun things in life too. Everything in moderation and balance.

The Rambling Duck has helped friends with their favourite charities too!
